OUR NEW  WALTHAM CREATIVE START CENTER ...

celebrated its grand opening at 169 Elm Street on the evening of February 28, 2013.   Over a hundred parents, children, grandparents, staff, journalists, and community and agency representatives participated in  the ribbon cutting ceremony, classroom tours, and discussions with staff and Board members.  Everyone particularly enjoyed the tables of delicious sandwiches, fruit and vegetable platters and delectable desserts donated by local businesses.  For those donations, we would especially like to thank

For over 25 years, Waltham Creative Start was located at 80 Hall Street.  Last summer, CUI found a new building in Waltham which allowed us to expand into 6 bright and beautiful preschool classrooms. 

Because this is such a major undertaking and the center will require many new furnishings and materials, CUI has launched a fundraising project to help defray the cost.  If you would like to learn more, please go to the "To Donate" page on this website.

 POLICY COUNCIL

The Policy Council of Communities United, Inc.is the governing body of the agency, which is comprised of parents and community representatives.  It meets regularly on the 4th Thursday of each month.  Meetings are customarily held at 6:00pm at:

Watertown Creative Start, 26 Chestnut Street, Watertown. 

Child care and refreshment are provided.
