- FALL REGISTRATION is happening now at all Creative Start Centers for the 2009-2010 school year. Parents will be contacted in the next few weeks to complete paperwork for their child. Please note that all children are required to have updated physical and dental exams. If your child has not had a physical or dental exam in the last 12 months, please contact your pediatrician or dentist to secure an appointment.

- SCREENINGS ARE UNDERWAY!    During the next 45 days, all children will receive a comprehensive of screenings to identify any health or developmental concerns that may required attention and follow-up.  If the pediatrician has not already done so, you can expect your child to receive a Vision, Hearing, Developmental, Social-Emotional, and Dentral screening.

We are pleased to have the MacVan -- the Massachusetts Medical Society's state of the art, mobile dental office -- return to all our centers again this year to condfuct dental screenings. 

Creative Start staff are certified as vision screeners through Prevent Blindness, an agency whose mission is to identify and refer individuals for potental vision and sight related concerns.

Parents will receive in writing the results of these various screenings.

  Communities United's POLICY COUNCIL, a governing body comprised of parents and community representatives, meets regularly on the 4th Thursday of each month.  Meetings are customarily held at 6:00pm at Watertown Creative Start, 26 Chestnut Street, Watertown.  Child care and refreshment are provided.* * * * *
